On January 19 the moon is in Sagittarius. What fun! This mutable fire sign energy occurs when you eat (too much), drink (too much) and spend (way too much) money without the least bit of guilt.
Which of the remaining Republican Presidential candidates is most prone to guilt?
On a scale of 1-10 using astrology as my guide, here is OHA’s “prone to guilt” rating for each candidate. A rating of 1 means “never feels guilty” and 10 means “feels guilt about being alive.”
In alphabetical order:
Newt Gingrich – Score 0
With sun in Gemini and moon in Sagittarius, guilt is a word that does not exist in his abundant lexicon. Neither sign has self-restraint and if this thing called “guilt” is felt, it will pass as quickly as today’s lunch.
Ron Paul – Score 5
With sun in Leo and moon in Taurus, Paul isn’t prone to guilt but certainly can feel guilty if he truly feels he’s done wrong. Earth signs are practical and do old fashioned things like apologize.
Rick Perry – Score 11
With sun in Pisces and Saturn/moon conjunct in Virgo, he is prone to guilt, anxiety and neurosis, the three best friends of a self-defeating emotional state. It’s like peeing on oneself. I can’t imagine how’s he’s feeling after each one of his gaffes.
Mitt Romney – Score 9
With sun in Pisces and moon in Scorpio, there’s a lot of hair-shirt going on here. Pisces is about sacrifice and sacrifice is often served with creamy, sticky guilt sauce. Scorpio guilt revolves around feelings of revenge and sexual misconduct. Scorpio does have its pride so I took Romney down a notch from 10.
Rick Santorum – Score 3
With sun in Taurus and moon in Aquarius, Santorum isn’t prone to guilt but, like Paul, can certainly feel it if the situation warrants. Unlike Paul, the moon in Aquarius will rationalize most situations so that this thing called “guilt” is pushed away, reducing the guilt score from Paul’s moderate “5” to a conservative “3.”
The January 19 Debate
Which of the candidates will fare best under the Sagittarius moon?
Gingrich clearly was the favorite at the January 16 debate and will probably continue his exuberant show on Thursday. Moon in Sagittarius will make him fill the cup more, eat one more cookie and generally go over the top. It’s like giving caffeine to a barista.
Which of the candidates will fare worst under the Sagittarius moon?
This is a tricky one. The Sagittarius moon makes a T-square Paul’s, Perry’s and Romney’s charts and sits on Santorum’s Saturn. Which is worse?
My guess is Perry will be hit the hardest because Sagittarius is fire and Perry has both sun and moon in sensitive signs. I sort of feel bad for Perry, being sensitive myself, but wonder what he’s still doing in the race. A graceful exit often awards contenders other non-presidential prizes (Bachmann and Huntsman can explain it to him). Doesn’t he know this?
OHA’s career ideas for Perry can be found here.
Bring your beer and snacks for Thursday’s debate. It should be fun.
